1. Intellectual Property & Licensing
All original content on this Site, including articles, diagrams, and mathematical explanations, is the property of Turing Codex unless otherwise stated.
- Articles and Prose: These are for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish or redistribute our written articles without explicit written permission.
- Code Snippets: Unless otherwise noted, all code snippets provided on this Site are licensed under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, and modify this code in your own projects (personal or commercial), provided you do not hold Turing Codex liable for any issues.
- Mathematical Models: Calculations and proofs are provided for educational purposes only.
- Third-Party Components: The Site is built with open-source software, including the Hugo Relearn theme and several JavaScript libraries used for typesetting, diagrams, and interactive exercises. These components remain the property of their respective authors and are governed by their own licenses, not by these Terms.
2. Accuracy of Information & Technical Disclaimer
While we strive for technical and mathematical precision, the information on Turing Codex is provided “as is.”
- No Professional Advice: Mathematical proofs, algorithms, and code are for education. They are not intended for use in mission-critical, financial, or life-safety systems without independent professional verification.
- Interactive Exercises: Quizzes, visualisations, and other interactive exercises are teaching aids. Their feedback and scoring are illustrative only, are not a measure of competence, and may be incomplete or incorrect.
- No Warranties: We make no warranties about the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of the content.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Turing Codex and its authors shall not be liable for any damages (including data loss, financial loss, or system failure) arising from the use or inability to use the information provided on this Site. Implementing any code or mathematical model found here is done entirely at your own risk.
4. External Links & Third-Party Tools
Our articles may link to external websites. We have no control over the content or availability of those sites.
- Online Code Editors: Some articles link to third-party services where you can run code examples in your browser. We are not affiliated with them. Anything you paste or run there is subject to that service’s own terms, and you should not enter confidential or proprietary code into them.
- Comments: We use Giscus (GitHub) for our commenting system. Your interactions there are subject to GitHub’s Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
5. Comments & User Conduct
Comments are powered by Giscus and stored as public GitHub Discussions. By posting a comment, you agree to the following.
- Your Content: You retain ownership of what you write. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to display your comment on the Site alongside the article it belongs to.
- Acceptable Use: Do not post harassment, hate speech, spam, advertising, malware, content that infringes someone else’s rights, or anything unlawful. Stay on topic and be civil.
- Moderation: We may hide, edit, or delete any comment, and block any account, at our discretion and without notice. We are under no obligation to monitor comments, and a comment remaining visible does not mean we endorse it.
- Your Responsibility: Comments express the views of their authors, not ours. You are responsible for what you post.
- GitHub’s Rules Also Apply: Because comments live on GitHub, GitHub’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policies apply in addition to these Terms.
